Rooted in the book of Second Samuel, we find David hiding in a cave from King Saul, reflecting on the fateful day he was anointed by the prophet Samuel. He recounts his battle to save a stray sheep from a lion, and he discovers that it is his shepherd’s heart that makes him a man after God’s own heart.
